How to Set Up IPTV on LG Smart TV
Install an IPTV player from the LG Content Store on a webOS TV, sign in or register by MAC address, and start watching in minutes.

LG TVs running webOS (roughly 2016 onwards) install IPTV players straight from the LG Content Store. The process is nearly identical to Samsung's — the store and remote are just laid out differently.
Before you start
- Check the LG Content Store appears on your home ribbon. If your TV is from the older NetCast era, it can't run modern players — a Firestick in any HDMI port is the simple fix.
- Get the TV online, wired if practical.
- Keep your Nexlivo welcome message to hand.
Step 1: Install a player from the Content Store
- Press Home on the remote.
- Open the LG Content Store.
- Search for IPTV Smarters or IBO Player.
- Select the app, click Install, then Launch.
If a player isn't listed in your region, try the other one — your Nexlivo login works in either.
Step 2: Sign in — two possible flows
Flow A — direct login. Apps like IPTV Smarters ask for a username, password and server URL. Choose the Xtream Codes API option and type the details from your welcome message exactly — they're case-sensitive, and the magic remote's pointer makes the on-screen keyboard reasonably painless.
Flow B — MAC-address registration. IBO-family apps show a MAC address on screen instead. From a phone or computer, open the developer's playlist website, sign in with that MAC address, add a playlist using your Nexlivo Xtream/API details, and restart the TV app. The IBO Player Pro guide covers this flow screen by screen.
As on other Smart TVs, some player apps charge a one-off activation fee to their developer after a trial period — separate from your Nexlivo plan.
Step 3: Reload and watch
Restart or reload the app so it pulls your channel list and programme guide. First load takes a minute or two; afterwards the app opens straight into live TV. Set favourites for the channels you actually watch.
If something is not working
- Content Store can't find any IPTV apps — some models have cut-down stores. The dependable fallback is a Firestick or Android box.
- Registered the playlist online but the TV app is empty — fully close and reopen the app; webOS caches aggressively. Then use the app's reload option. See refreshing an IPTV playlist.
- Picture freezes during evening matches — network congestion: fix IPTV buffering.
- Or skip all of this and let support drive — we do LG setups daily.
